Driving education is essential for new drivers to acquire skills, driving knowledge and experience. GDL is a Graduated Driving License. It ensures that the learner acquires adequate knowledge about driving and safe driving. Once a person decided to learn driving in Alberta, they should first learn the basics of driving. They can read the Driver Education Handbook and sit for a computer test. When they pass the computer test they will obtain Class 7 learner’s driver’s license. This Stage one lasts for one year.
During the one year period, Walden driving school will teach you how to drive. We will prepare you to pass the basic Alberta class 5 road test. Once you pass the test, you will receive Class 5-GDL (Probationary) license. You must be a probationary driver for a minimum of two years. Then, you can exit the GDL program.
